The dino engine will either have shorter service intervals, or a worn out engine.





Open question, would it be cheaper to run expensive synthetic oil less often, over the life of the car?

The question is incomplte. If you pay someone to change conventional the cost is the same as DIY synthetic oil changes.

I pay apx. $45+ to do a synthetic oil change on my car every 8000 kms. I pay under $15 for a dino oil change for my wifes car every 5000 kms..... or whenever i get around to it. lol I do the oil change myself.

Sorry, I should have specified NOT at a place where they will slash your radiator hose so they can sell you a new one
