Random: sorry sir. Ill get my bin laden ass out of this thread.

1kw into 4kw is beyond perpetual motion, if the motion was coming straight from the exhuast.

The dynapac seems feasible enough, as i believe Garret was/is working on something similar. The point of this box is to aid in spool time on a conventional turbocharger, and possibly serve as a brake on the turbo shaft to prevent overspinning the turbo (could also be used instead of a wastegate...). I didnt really look at the turbopac, or whatever the other device is...

eggy wegs, and steaky wakes RULE!

Dynapac? hmmm...like was said before, we're nearing the idea of perpetual motion on this one, and that can't happen yet.

although the technology existed in '86 and hence came the idea for the YUGO.

The product only consumes 1kW of electrical power and produces 4kW of shaft power. Where does the extra energy come from? Air and gasoline, same as a Supercharger.

Their electric fan, battery, exhaust whatever sucks 1kW of power, but in turn allows the engine to consume more air (and hopefully dump in enough fuel). I guess its possible to give enough air to completely burn the gasoline at idle (most cars run rich at idle anyway), which would account for their "cleaner" burn.

Bottom line, the energy comes from somewhere. To make power you have to have more air and more gasoline, period.

"And I felt all funny in my tummy. Like the music itself was making me sick. I had to get out"

Well my little droggies I think we can chalk this device up to the TURBO ZET..

At least you can use the Turbo ZIT to kewl your Case..

Didn't someone buy one from the boards. Never heard how that worked out..
