Default air filter

I postedon SK'z but i also wanna post here. I am looking to get an airfilter for my 96 sephia, but i dont know what kind to get. I went to a few auto stores, they didnt have any cone style filters, i finally found a place that had a few universal, but i wasnt sure about what size. They also did not have any kinda clamp to attack it to tubing, just a hole... Am i missing something, i dont know much about this, ive never installed one before : Thanks,

A lot of the K&N cone filters they sell at the local parts store are replacement filters for cars. If you want to get one that will work with your car, you might have to special order one or you can get a cone filter from APC, which most of the Auto Stores even Wal-Mart sell. Go to the web site like K&N, or any other web page and look for the part # you need.

I've got no problem with the APC filter, just make sure you oil it before you install it if it does not come pre-oiled. Some do, some dont.

You can use K&N filter oil or any air filter oil designed for use on a Cotton/gauze/mesh style filter.
