today my friend drove my car he got on it for a sec when he got off it i heard a cool but weird winding for 1 sec then when i got to the stop sign i hear this LOUD LOUD rattling sounds like a diesel comming from under my car my car shifts nicely but when u let off the gas from 2500+ rpms u hear this like grinding kinda sound any idea? i dono if this helps but it rained real bad and i have cai

well dude... first off, i wouldnt let anyone drive my car.... and second i think yous beat the livin crap out of it....dont know what is goin on but untill you do chill with the hard drivin...

ahh to add to what majik said... he is the second owner too....

 

i do drive my car hard like every1 of u but when it happened we werent beating on it ... its drives fine just makes noise i dont get it the engine light isnt on either

 

check your catalyctic (or however you spell it) converter. The insides of these can break and when they do they make the most annoying noises. If not that start checking points of connection of the exhaust to the body of the car. Sometimes things come loose on the exhaust and you will only notice in certain rpm ranges and when the car is at idle... good luck!

 

well the mechanics at pep boys looked at my car for a min his exact words " that thing is F*CKED up"

 

as in... they dont have a clue... did they even look under the car. in my opinion, if thats where the noise seems to be coming from thats where i would check first. but like i said good luck man... sucks when somethin is broke and you cant figure out what is wrong with it

 

yea man I dono the check engine light isnt on, its not running hot, its only at idle and when i take my foot off the gas....... Tonight I figured out it might be my Trans because it only makes noise at idle and when you put it in Neutral the noise stops so i think its the trans

WTF! If this is another tranny problem im gonna go nuts!! ny tranny is less then 30 days old.. i didnt pay for it it has a warranty but i was out of a car for 15 days if they i need a new 1 im gonna say F that n do the swap! :twisted:
