Default Aftermarket engine mounts...?

I'm considering getting some new mounts for my 2003 tib. I'd appreciate it if you guys could give me hand...

For those of you running NOS, turboes or SC's who still has your stock motor mounts installed?

If not...have any of you seen a noticeable difference in the responsiveness of your car after installing the new ones? If so, what ones did you go with?

Thanks...

The problem is not how the mounts react, the problem is getting new mount at all. Currently, no one mkes polyurethane mounts or inserts for hyundais.

whiteline has some for suspension, but not engine.

hdk, has one for the transmission, but thats 1 of 4 mounts, and its not really gonna affect engine roll back.

That really sux big time!!! It's hard to believe no one makes any polyurethane ones to replace the stock ones. Dammit!!!

My friend told me there is some kinda gel, epoxy or sumthin that you can place inside the openings of the mount to fill them up so they become stiffer. Has anyone heard of this? If so what is it and where can I get sum?

That gel is actually epoxy that makes sure every single piston, valve, cam and crank vibration is transmitted to the rest of your car ensureing a smooooooooth ride. That was a joke. Sure it makes it stiffer, then it sucks cause it shakes so much.

Wha..aat di..did you..ou say..ay..ay..ay?

Sound like you speak from personal experience. I definitely don't want a car so stiff that you feel every friggin thing the engine does. The roads here a bad enough! Go figure. Being in the Motor capital of the world and we have the worst roads in the country! You can't have a tire under a 45 series w/o bending your wheels.

Anywayz...I've heard "of" people of just tying the engine to the frame even. I guess when you have 300plus horses under your hood and can do close to 200mph I guess you hafta do sumthin like that, huh?

Hopefully someone soon will corner the aftermarket performance industry in engine mounts for hyundai's...I won't be holding my breath though.

Has anyone ever considered sending a set of mounts and inserts to a company like Energy Suspension, or ProThane? Never know, they just might make them if there is enough interest. The Energy Master Kit for a Civic is about $160. The same thing can be done for the Tib.
