Advice Please
My wife was driving her 97 tib in traffic south arican style and the car kept cutting off. she eventually got stuck and pulled over.. Wen I got there the car had a burnt oil smell but no mixin of oil and water..the car has been using lots of engine oil and has been smoking for a bit...tried starting the car and it took ages to get it going..it would just swing all the time and then take after a bit..so i got the car home after turnin up the idling screw and left it to stand for a week. on closer inspection I notice that all the water from the radiator was empty but there was still water in the water bottle.. I filled the car with water and took it to a local guy that normally works on the car.. He says he took the cylinder head off and sent it to the engineer and they sorted everything out.. but the car still takes long to start.. what could be wrong??

Well there are any number of things. It could be battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil packs, starter, fuel pump...
Mine never cranks up on the first spin. It takes my car 3-7 cranks unless I've had it on in the last 30 seconds. Maybe one day I'll try to bring that number of cranks down.
