Guys. There are 2 types of sensors.

One needs to be mounted *sideways*, or pointing towards the drivers side of the car.

One needs to be mounted *forwards* or pointing towards the front of the car.

I'll give you the specs on the 2 sensors when I get home.

The *sideways* model is a *Keifco*. the *forwards* model is a *Bosch*.

From what I have been able to figure out.
Gen1's are *bosch*, gen2's are *Keifco*

hey i have a Gen 2 2000 and mine is a bosch i would put up a pic of it but my camra is broken frown

Figured it was something like that.

Makes sense too that they would use up their stock of one before going to another, apparently it happened to be in the middle of a model year. I know mine was from later in the 2000 production lot. smile.gif

ahh, okay thats what I was looking for.
Thou hyundia does not list 2 part numbers.
yeah they musta changed them in the middle of the year of the 2000 model.

Mine was later 2000 model.
