Default 77.5mm to 85mm bore

Ok. I want a 2.0 but I can't find one anywhere. Someone suggested to me that I should bore my engine instead. Do you think I can bore my engine from 77.5mm to 85? Also, I will turbo my car. Anyone have 85mm low comp pistons?

well....if its the same block as the 1.8/2.0L

You can DEFFINETLY bore out to 84mm

maybe 85mm. Not sure of the exact amoutn material between the cylinders.

hes probably trying to bore out to 85mm to drop in 4g63t pistons.

DING DING! You're right. smile.gif Some guy suggested I put 4G63 pistons in my Beta block. He said that there is enough metal for such a bore. Low comp 4G63 slugs and a turbo kit and I'm set!

Any other comments? I need 'em badly. Thanks.

That's a flexplate. It's an automatic tranny engine.

85mm bore is risky.

But if he thinks he can do it.

go for it.

Also...Can you do us a favor.

When the Head is off the car.

Can you take some pics of the combustion chamber of the head?

I would really like to know if its pent roof or semi pentroof design.
