2.0L Engine HP
I been reading alot about the upgrades you can do to the tiburons 2.0L engine but I was wondering what is the max amount of HP that you can get out of this engine?

At what point do you draw the line? Block reinforcing? Cryo treating? Etc..etc.
HP and speed only cost money. As long as you have money...you can get more HP out of an engine.
Look at the all motor drag civics...you can barely call those motors "Hondas" any more, the Bore, stroke, valves, and cranks have all been replaced/modified...they have 400 HP all motor Hondas....but...those motors cost about $50 to $100 K per motor.
So drop $100K into your Tibby, and you'll see 400 all motor HP, or drop $10K into it and see 400 Turbo Charged HP....

All numbers assume you're turbocharged.
In purely stock format, meaning you never even open the motor up, they're good to about 200-220HP (as an average). The exact amount of power and reliability depends on how good your tuning is.
With new pistons and rings, the total goes up to somewhere around 275-300HP at the tires. Since you don't have to worry about ringlands breaking or blowby on the stock rings, you are basically at the limit of what the stock rods can hold. Cheuk suggested they are good to around 300WHP if the motor is well tuned and doesn't see detonation.
After replacing the pistons, rings, and then rods along with stronger rod-end studs and main cap-end studs, you are good for probably as much horsepower as the chassis will physically stand. There will come a point where more horsepower is useless; there's only so much traction available in a front wheel drive unibody with an open diff.
Of course, none of the estimates deal with exactly WHAT you'll need to get to that power. And as I said before, all my estimates are based on having the car turbocharged.
If you're expecting your Tiburon to get 200 horsepower with just bolt-ons, you're going to be disappointed. Don't worry however, because there aren't any Civics that get 200 horses with bolt-ons either. VTEC or not...

Stock the 2.0L is 140.
Turbo charged? How much PSI? OnPol was laying down 227 to the wheels on 10 PSI, but has plans for more boost, so more HP....

In the future please use the search feature as those questions have been answered before.
You can get the link to Alpine developments off the above link. The apline turbo install is quite involved, and beyond the reach/scope of 90% of shadetree mechanics. The kit comes with a head spacer that requires the removal of all belts and pullies, the removal of the timing belt, Then raising the head off the block, installing the spacer, and then reassembling everything. If you get the timeing belt one tooth off, you will seriously affect the performance of your motor, and maybe even damage it.
The turbo kit was hard for Alpine themselves to install on my car, taking more time than they originally estimated, and it is still not running 100%.
The Kit costs $1900 till mid august then jumps to $2700. Expect an install/tuneing to run you another $500 to $1000.
