I have the opportunity to get a camshaft from a 1995 1.8L Elantra GLS. The standard version of that year is a 1.6L engine, but the GLS comes as a 1.8. Will the camshaft of the 1.8L version of it fit an RD2? I know the 1996+ years will fit, but I wasn't sure if a 1995 would. The one I'm looking at says it's a 1.8L, but I wasn't sure if it was the same 1.8 used on the later years.

Just got a 1998 1.8L ECU for $25!! smile.gif

Don't tell them what it is at the front desk. Just grab it out of the car and say, How much is this? They'll automatically assume "random part" price and give you a much lower figure. If you say it's a 1.8L ECU which will add power and gas efficiency to my car, then they'll add a price because they know it's worth it to you.
