yea thats the plan, were replacing the intake, exhaust, valve cover, and oil pan gasket since its out and on a stand. what do you mean an oil return, for a turbo? haha idk what its for lol.

A return line for oil from the turbo... you'd just be welding a flange in for an AN and capping it off.

Thats actually a really good idea if your replacing the pan gasket, and even questioning going turbo.

Yup, I'd do it for sure. THEN, pull your oil pan off the old engine, and do the same thing, and then SELL it here.

You could help folks out a LOT, hell, I'd buy it from you if you did it right. I'm sure SOCKS could help you with where to put it and what size.

yea idk if boosting this tib is a reality any time soon, but if its easy maybe ill do it just in case, but if someone tells me how to do it i will defiantly do it right on the old oil pan and sell it to someone. But today im gunna hopefully have my engine all cleaned up and ready for paint.

Did about 3 hours of work today, most of it was taking off the brackets and wire brushing them for paint. But i did do a little more on the block itself, but still needs a lot more work in some places. Cleaned up the ports a little bit with carb cleaner, hard to tell with the pictures but there is a difference. Btw its nice working in 50 degree temp with the garage door open, with the sun shining on my back, lol yea... it was nice.

Thats it, probably going to do some more work tomorrow, and going to pull the old engine out hopefully this weekend.

I don't know if you have a drill press? If you do put a wire wheel in it and use that to clean your parts.

I did that to mine before I painted them its soo much easier. Just don't do it too long at one time cause it can burn up your motor in the drill.

For paint I recommend Rustoleum brush on or spray 1-3 light coats till it is covered good. That would be for the parts that don't get a lot of heat though.

lol i actually have a grinder/ wire wheel, so ive been using that, along with the wire brush, cleans it up real nice. i was planning on primering and painting the parts. but SOCKS said i should primer, high heat paint, and high head clear coat, will be a lot of money for everything but will be worth it lol.

Yeah for any part touching the engine do what socks said.

But for all the small brackets and stuff in the rest of the bay you could use what I did.
