Today i picked up my new engine ive been talking about, the only thing that was wrong with it was that a piece of the valve cover was broken off, but no big deal. the other thing was that its mad dirty so she will need a through cleaning. Heres some pictures of the engine, you can see how dirty it is, but will look nice when its all cleaned up.
DIRTYYYY
CLEANNNNN
as you can see in a few pictures it looks like the fuel injectors weren't firing right or something, so we need to figure that out, but besides that, its really clean. Should look good painted black with the engine bay hopefully rhino lined. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK!

Looks good man! Better get to work cleaning it.
I used the duplicolor truck bed liner in my engine bay comes in a spray can and turns out nice.
Good luck with it.

it's so ugly on the outside, but the inside looks new! Clean her up and you've got a new engine. WOW, that's all I can really say... Wow!

not sure, may keep it for emergency parts, or i may part it out. But i had second thoughts when i saw this engine in purpose, i was like that is mad dirty, idk if its worth $400. But my dad said it was ok so we bought it, brought it home, put it up on the stand, i took off some parts and i learned never to judge a book by its cover... well with some things, im still shallow when it comes to girls lolz

that's badass!! spraying it would be nice, building it like a tank would be great but not worth it and you're trying to get the car on the road asap probably.
have fun!

thanks, idk what you mean build it like a tank, but we are going to replace a few gaskets while the engine is out and we can get to it easy and stuff. But i need to get it installed within 30 days so if it doesnt work then i can return it back to the junk yard

The inside looks purdy. So... whatcha doing with the old one?

I'd definitely do it if I had an extra engine to play with. Any idea on what they should look like on a beta head?
