I thought the cam lobes on the b1 were wider than the b2.

The 1.8 GT Cam is already installed on the Elantras XD and Tuscanis. A guy from Sharkracing told me that....

So for someone looking at purchasing one..... Should I go with the xd gt cam or the regular 1.8l cam?

Default cruise night

so is it better to have the 1.8L intake cam with the 2.0L exhaust cam? or have both 1.8L intake and exhaust cam.

If you have a Beta II (2000 and newer Elantras, 2003 and newer Tiburons 4cyl) Don't bother to change the intake cam and don't mess with the exhaust cam. This topic was beat to hell in HP a couple of years ago. As far as choosing between the 1.8 and 2.0cam, read the "Intake Cam" topic on this same forum. I would go with the 1.8 just to be safe. Then again, if your car is under warranty, and you play your cards right, you could probably get it fixed at the dealer if anything bad happens.

No, switching to an exhaust cam will not help. so I guess you're already set unless you want to go wild and buy the SR cams or CAT cams.

No, the ex cams are the same in both 1.8 & 2.0. Only the in cam is different.
