i have a good deal engine from 05 elantra 2.0L with 45000 on it and i'm wondering if it will fit my 98 tibby????

According to the 5000 other times it's been asked whether or not the Beta 2.5 will fit or not, the answer is still yes.

Will it work alright? You might have to swap heads because of the CVVT, but otherwise, the answer is still yes.

dont put the beta1 head on it though, needs to be beta 2 because of the lifters

If you were gona take the time to do this you might as well take the time to get the new ecu too. I know it isn't a ton more power than the beta1, but it is more.

^ only thing you would need to do is install an inline restrictor. thats definitly not enough of a reason to stop you from swapping the heads.

Why can't you just remove the electrical connector for the CVVT system and run without it?

I searched but could not find a definitive answer, cheers.
