Default 01 tiburon header/ exhaust questions

Hey everyone I have an 01 tiburon California emissions. My question is if I put a header on my car there for deleting my first cat how do I go upon not throwing codes and still getting it inspected. Ny emissions strict as hell so I don't wanna buy it if I can't keep lights off. Any help would be great

You will need to space your downstream O2 sensor out a ways, or install a high flow cat, de-loom enough of the wiring to the downstream O2 sensor, and install the O2 sensor after the high flow cat.
