Done.

From what I read, a single pipe is better for an I4. I am sure you could reduce some back pressure by using 2 pipes, but in order to do that, you need a larger downpipe and a good Y split from say a 3' downpipe to 2 2.5" pipes.

All in all, I think it would be easier to just use a 3" single pipe smile.gif

Mr. Zimmerman

Thank you for contacting Borla Performance Industries. Unfortunately, we do not have a Cat-Back or Header application for your vehicle. We value your interest and will forward your request to our Research and Development Department for consideration.

Although we currently do not have a Borla system for your vehicle at this time, there are other options available to you. You may want to consider one of our Universal Kits or one of our new Pro-XS mufflers. You can check them out on out website or contact your local muffler shop.

We are continuously developing new applications, so we encourage you to check back on our website in the near future.

If you have anymore questions regarding the product you have requested or if you would like to place an order feel free to contact me at Richarda@borla.com or by phone 1-877-GO-BORLA ext. 212.

Thanks,
Richard A.

Here is my reply. Anyone else have anything for me to add before I send it tonight? Like what else runs a Beta 1 or 2, or what other cars use the same exhaust setup?

QUOTE
Richard,

Thank you for returning my request. We know you don't currently have an application for our series of cars, but we are in dire needs of one. MBRP has stopped making most of their exhaust systems and the other 2 companies that make them for us are VERY unreliable.

I am an administrator for several Hyundai websites, including...

www.kspec.com
www.rdtiburon.com <-- Featured in Sport Compact Car magazine this summer.
www.hyundaiaftermarket.com

And also am very well known at the following...

www.hyundaiperformance.com
www.newtiburon.com <--Featured in Sport Compact Car last year.
www.elantraxd.com
www.xdtuner.com

We think you'd like to know the following.

1. Any headers designed for the 4 Cylinder Beta 1 or 2 series will fit the following Hyundai vehicles.

a. 1997-2005 4 Cyl Tiburon
b. 1996-2005 4 Cyl Elantra

2. Any Cat Back exhausts made for the car requested, 1997-2001 Tiburons, will also fit...

a. 1996-2000 Elantra

These are the only ones I am 100% positive on, but I'm sure there are others with our series of engines in them, such as the Accent or Sonata. We have all seen that you do have a setup for the 2.7L V6, but it's rather unpopular in the Hyundai Tuning world because of it's weaknesses, the Beta series of 4 Cylinder engines is the MOST modified engine in the Hyundai lineup, and to ignore it would leave a huge gap for us and NO where to buy premade systems.

I can provide other information if you are interested.

SPELLING NAZI!!

Anyways, good job REDZMANG. Hopefully our little influx of submissions will show them that we are more than willing to invest in a cat-back system for the Tib.

He asked what we think smile.gif Of course I will correct spelling if its going to a company that we want to do something for us!

(also dire needs I think sounds better as 'dire need' in that sentance).
