Call around and find the following...
CD 2 Engine Detailer.
It's hard to find now, but it's the best cleaning kit there is. I'm about to buy a case online.

I tried CD2 and it didn't work for me. Mine's too dirty. I was told to look for "Citrius Bright" with an orange top, Advanced AutoParts carries it. I believe O'Reilly Auto Parts and possibly AutoZone still carry CD2.
I sprayed the CD2 on there THEN tried pressure washing it, after it broke up the dirt. Still didn't work well :? and my pressure washer is more powerful than those at car washes.

I have always used a regular shop degreaser.
Try and clean your engine when it is cold.
Hot engine parts do not like having cold water sprayed on them.
1. use a nozzel that you can set to shower or a light spray.
Don't spray water directly on your electrical connections with high pressure. stand back and shower the engine bay with water, don't forget to spray up in the fenders, you will be surprised how much crap collects in there.
2. spray on a degreaser on everything, use brushes to clean hard to clean places.
3. rinse off.
4. Start car, (helps to evaporate the standing water around the engine. let it run for 5 mins or so. then let it cool down, and dry.
5. To dress up the engine you can use armour all or something similar. But if you really want it to shine, use something with silicone in it. i.e.- tire dressing for the hoses and any black plastic pieces. silicone spray will work very well, but don't let it get on the paint on the outside of your car, wax will never stick there. spray it on a rag first then wipe.
hope this helps.

Just don't hose it down with a regular hose. Lol.
Stupid question: Why not? I have never done this to my Tib, but I have with other vehicles. What is the difference between this and a pressure washer (other than obviously the pressure washer has more pressure)?
