So after looking at some of the new pics I posted in my rebuild thread, I got to missing my strut brace, which wont fit with my air ram mad.gif ,

I should have taken more pics at the start ,but oh well...I have no welder,so I called a friend who does, and temperorarly wired it in .

so,I cut the 4 tabs that hold the bar off, grinded smooth all the welds, flipped the brackets over, placed each on oppisite tower, fliped the tabs around so they line up with each other, bolted them back on the bar, positioned it in the car where I wanted it,tacked it in place ,took it out and finished it!., ...I just modded my existing brace to fit my air ram with only 1 welding rod, no extra materials, just welder, hacksaw and grinder..I'm happy with it,I'll post another pic when dried and installed fing02.gif

Nice, but...you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by just getting the cheap ebay front strut bars. brackets look almost exactly the same, except they only mount to 2 or the 3 bolts on the strut.

But nice job none the less. fing02.gif

UM Ursons, guess you did'nt read the last sentence in the first post?? nana.gif lol

Yes the hood closes, don't know if a stock hood would close though...And why buy cheap ebay parts ?, haha.gif I don't consider modding to be trouble!?
so after the black dried, I sprayed em with my calipar paint...Think the red is too much??

Whatever, I like my strut bar. While everyone complains of not having a strut bar compatible with their AIRRAM, I've had mine for YEARS now!

Looks great man!

yeah not a big fan of the extra red on the bar braces, should have left them in the bedliner imo

either way though i commend you on your ambition
