Default um

for those who encounter the problem i had here is the info on how to install a oil pressure electron sending unit for a oil pressure meter.

this is also for a 2001 tiburon and for the beta 1 engines only

the oil pressure switch is located right next to the exhaust manifold or header if you replaced it already it's the sensor closest to the manifold
i used a 15/16 socket to remove it to put a t tap you need to buy a
1/8 bspt male to 1/8 npt female(DO NOT TRY TO PUT THE NPT IN IT IS THE WRONG THREAD YOU WILL STRIP THE HOLE)thats why you need the adaptor the factory oil pressure switch is bspt thread you can find the adaptor at you're local pep boys sunpro adaptor kit cp7573 for about 7 dollars.or try summitracing from the beta engine you will get 24 to 34 psi at idle when the car warms up and could peak at 80 to 100 depending how much of a lead foot that you have heh hope this helps if you need pics I have them pm me if you have any questions and also have a group buy going on if you need a good looking triple pillar pod the t tap is if you want to keep the low oil pressure idiot light on the dash http://rdtiburon.com/index.php?name=PNphpB...viewtopic&t=218

Hmm...

Got any pics?

If you can do some full clear and concise writeups man, I'll add these to the DIY listing. Pics are worth a thousand typings.

eeow the Beta runs some high oil pressure. Thanks for the warning.. make sure you bolt everything down nice and TIGHT or you will get leaks with that much PSI.

That's why you use teflon tape baby teflon good stuff it's only whe it's colder when the car heats up this highest it evr goes is about 74 to 80 psi
only gunned it to see if my meter would go to or past 100psi it was in park when I gunned it .Other than that when the car warmed up it was about 24 psi and never went past 82 asumming you have a beta I And you put the electronic sender where the factory Low oil pressure idiot light. there is another place for the sender by the top thermostat but it's regulated but perfect fpr turbo tap heh>
