Frozen, you are telling this to a guy that paid a mechanic to install a 1.8L cam.
And even the mechanic screwed that up.
LOL
SOCKS is dead on here.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink, but if you hold its head under the water long enough, it'll sure as shinola DROWN.

Dan- You asked for advice and you got 2 options. Epoxy it and hope it holds or get a new manifold. Pick one. Either it holds, flakes off, or fails all together and you get a new engine.
If your grown enough to argue spell out what swearing you want.
Insulting people and staff is unacceptable.
Think long and hard with your next new topic.
Measure twice cut once....
Im going to start calling you DTN if you ask for advice, ignore it and start arguing against it.

I used to live, is it that hard to find a good mechanic there? Seems like they must of all moved to NA.
Anyhow, back to your problem? Why didn't you just go to a certified welder and have him tig the whole shut? That would be your fastest solution. Let me guess, no one can tig there? Blah blah blah cast aluminum..., I welded a 70mm TB adapter to my intake, no leaks, works fine.
Your sir, listen to the wrong advice, and seek the wrong "mechanics".
