yes there is, I'm working on it right now. I have some "plans" for a push button start that will hopefully be finished in a month or so. I will no longer have to carry a key for my car.

As long as you dont leave the car unlocked you should be fine. No one would really know. You could always also just get an alarm that includes an immobilizer that while the alarm is active the car wont start.

Already have a kick a$$ alarm and remote start, I'm not really worried about people stealing the car itself, just the stuff thats inside. You will need the keyfab to open the doors for one and I have an idea so even if they do get into the car and try to start it they won't be able to.

I would just put a hidden kill switch in that needs to be switched on for the car to run. Put it somewhere where it can't be found, but you still will need some way to get around the steering wheel being locked without the key in the run position.

^^^^ Thats what I still have to look into. It's all just mechanical linkage, so it should work out fine. Once I have a spare couple of hours I'll pull my car into the shop and look around and see what can be done.

Ooof, I know this is ages old, but I think sarter buttons are always sweet. And, with just a little more time and about $10 at radioshack (or less, if you have big pockets and quick fingers...erm...I mean....work there....), you can change it into a full, secure keyless start system. I have to go back and recheck wire colors, because it's been a while since I did mine, but in a nutshell, add a relay to the accessory wire, linked to any number of on/off switches, hidden wherever you want them (mine is in a little nook slightly above and to the right of the gas pedal. No pix, wouldn't want one of you to know how to steal my baby). I hit it on with my foot when I get in, hit the starter button, and the car is alive. It freaks people out, too, first time they see it done.

good idea about placing the starter button in the cig tray. I liked how the one guy used his hazard button hole, but i kinda want to keep that for some reason.
