Question it how?

Will it make a huge difference, no.. its a free (other than the cost of replacing fluid that probably needs to be replaced anyway). I guess you could question how awesome it is?

Does it harm anything? If done properly.. no. Many people have done the "mod" without problem.

Is that stupid plate/spring there for a reason? Yes, because people can't drive for crap so hyundai helped them by slipping the clutch a little even if you dump it. It also helps save the transmission from stupidity and protects there 100k warranty.

forgot i posted in this topic, whoops. well, having done the modification on my LC, i can definitely confirm that its an improvement! the main changes are:

-far lighter clutch pedal. like eerily light.

-no more clutch slipping during hard driving

-more feedback through the pedal; you can definitely feel any chatter through the pedal.

for a free modification, you certainly cannot go wrong. i actually have pictures, but they are on my broken handycam D:

Everyone, calm down. Bigfishmoney established his reputation for not knowing enough about cars to join the conversation a long time ago. The slave cylinder restrictor removal is a must-do modification, even if only to try it out.

Finally getting to this must do, bought a new slave cylinder and popped the spring out. I'll post a picture of the spring since it's not shown above a little later. Between this and a new lightweight flywheel the clutch should get real nice. Now if I could only get my hands on a ARK short throw shifter or R-side advance short shifter. It's killing me knowing the B&M one that I have is the inferior one that's out there. New cold air intake and exhaust tomrrow. Can't beat a 97 tib that's still running like a champ.
