I took pictures for this about a year ago. I'm missing pix of the hardware and of the mounting surface of the ATH spoiler. If you have pics of the mounting hardware or the underside of the spoiler, please post them. I started making this DIY when I mounted my spoiler by request, but the person who requested it no longer needs it.

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">Introduction:</span>
This DIY is very simple. It is pretty hard to put a hole in your body if you have never done it before. You should not attempt this if you do not feel comfortable using a 1/2" drill on your car. The ATH spoiler comes with a variety of screws, all thread, nuts and bolts. I used the 1/2" machine screws to mount my spoiler.

Prior to performing this DIY, you may want to have the spoiler painted. $50-$75 is a good price for professional painting.

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">
<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%"></span>Scope:
</span>This DIY will cover mounting of the ATH roof spoiler. This DIY is not a replacement for shop manuals or experience.

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">You will need:
</span>Drill
Drill bits (1/4, or slightly larger then the screws and 1/2)
ATH roof spoiler (and hardware)
waterproofing jelly ( i don't remember what it's called)
Large Phillips screw driver
fine point Sharpie perminant marker or body marker
Isopropyl alcohol
electrical tape
Corona w/Lime

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">Get things together:</span>
1. Turn the spoiler over and create a outline of the underside of the spoiler including the holes by shading it in with a pencil
2. Cut the outline out of the piece of paper.
3. Get a buddy to help you place the ATH spoiler on the car dead center.
4. Have him hold it perfectly still while you draw around the edges of the spoiler mounting area
5. Line up and tape down your cutouts to the paint
6. Go over the shaded hole with the marker until the paper rips apart, this way you mark the hole on the paint.

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">Drill the holes:
</span>1. Using the smaller drill bit, drill a hole through the marked area.
2. Keep going through the hole until you get through the the inner body. It won't hit anything.
3. use the 1/2" drill bit to drill from inside the trunk out through the hole so you can get the screw and screwdriver in. Do not go through the outer body, just the inner body. this is just an access point so you can get a tool in for the mounting hardware
4. Clean off the marker with rubbing alcohol

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">Mount the spoiler</span>
1. Tape the screw to the screw driver to prevent the screw from getting lost in your hatch (it freakin' sucks)
2. Sit in the trunk and Have your buddy hold the spoiler in place and line up the screw holes through the access holes. You can help by reaching around with the trunk open.
3. Insert the screw through the first hole and tighten it.
4. Tape the 2nd screw to the screw driver and tighten it.

That wasn't so hard was it?
