HereĀ“s the size for headlight angel eyes for the RD1, I took these measures from a set I bought from blacktib (thatĀ“s his nick I guess)

The inner circle is 5.8 cms and the outer circle is 7.3 cms, I put them in centimeters because thatĀ“s the unit we use here, and IĀ“m not used to inches.

Hope itĀ“ll help you

Call me a dumbarse, but could this be applied to the headlights as well? Would/have any of you do it?

Yes it can be done for the headlights as well. and some have done it, but most buy them from Chris (blacktibs on the forum) he makes them for us. if you want to try this on your own PM him to find out dimensions.

have you tried putting the cuts in the plastic and THEN bending them? also bending them with the cuts on the inside may provide a more efficient method of refracting the light.

Also, a heated piece of steel wire may provide a better line.

Thread resurrection . . . I think this is cool enough, and seldom-enough mentioned to bump.

...plus I had a comment to add: instead of drilling lights, you should be able to superglue the end of the rod to the end of an LED, as long as the rod and LED are both FLAT on the end. Drill AND superglue if you are paranoid about it falling out!

What possessed you to read a more than 6 year old thread?

I remembered I was not done fixing the broken links in the RD DIY listing sticky thread, and started doing that for a while. It was one of the links I fixed last night/this morning.
