I should have taken a picture of my ghetto wiring job. I was so excited that I put it all back together before I took a picture. Oh well

Pictures are here! First Tiburon with Red Window Switches! http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/421255/2 (I don't know how to post pictures so if someone else wants to that's cool with me, or else just go to the site) The passenger side has the door handle mod done too, but I don't really like it. I think I'm going to take it out. Tell me what you think!

looks great!!!

for posting pics, just right click a pic, hit properties, and copy the url. next, just hit the "img" button twice, and squeeze the url in between the two middle brackets. pretend the ( and ) are brackets. it will look like this.

well after doing this mod i'm having two problems w/ it :

1.) leds don't stay on, i think theres a contact problem somewhere cause if i hit it or push down on the buttons they work, That i can fix.

2.) on the DRIVERS side assembly, the passenger side window switch sticks, i tried messing w/ it a bit last night b4 i put my door back together but wasn't making any progress w/ it and it was already dark so i just gave up for the night. everything lines up and looks just like it did when i took it apart and it worked fine b4.

PLEASE HELP ASAP. drivers side switch works fine.

1. take it apart, you have a cold solder joint. Clean all the solder up (solder sucker / solder wik) Resolder everything.

KaiJai, thanks, that what i figured, that one of the 2 solder joints for the board aren't making good contact.

That part i knew how to fix, the other though, i swear that the passengers switch was EXACTLY the way it came apart except it doesn't work like it did, i'll take everything apart again and try messing w/ it (again). thanks.

Ok, i tried looking around in this forum, an by jove.. didn't find it.. I would presum this would be a DIY Switch Light mod, not for window, but for the AC, Vents and all the other lights on the dash. (ie Fog lights, Cruise button etc..)

Are these bulbs, as per the gauges.. or are they LEDs? has anyone converted the yet?
