Yes, the green/white wire is Illumination + wire. It will supply Battery voltage when you turn the switch on headlight switch to the first position.
You should use 16-18AWG wire to connect the power and ground to the LEDs

Use this to splice into the wire and add a wire to the green/white wire (radio shack)

Use these to make it removable so you can take the door handle cup out of the door (radio shack)

Use this to connect to ground. (advanced auto parts)

You need the grounding terminal to be as big as possible to hook up to any bolt. They're at advanced, i have a whole package of them. This picture is of a standard ring, because I can't find a pic of an oversized ring terminal.
That should be everything you need. Make sure when you crimp, you fold the wire over, crimp down the center, then crimp from the sides.

Don't cut them, splice into them with a wire tap mang!. A digital mutimeter (15 bucks at Walmart or Radio shack) will help you out alot. The best way to get a ground is to use a bolt anywhere on the car. There's alot of them in the door. I'm not sure about the black wire, I'll check webtech.
Yes. the black wire is ground. Even still, the best way to get ground is to ground to the body.

^^ that's where i got mine, the chrome ones, $5 + shipping for 20. I suggested radio shack because alot of people don't plan out these projects. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Radioshack is expensive as heck, but they have just about everything you need. Advanced charges even more for electrical items.
