oh hell yea i did this one too, i guess i never had the chance to thank you, allblacktibby, so thanks for the idea !!! no one I know has this, and the ythink it looks tight !!!!

I never knew you could shave the led, im gonna do that when i get home i na few months !!! I hate that focused circle of light !!!!!!!! LOL

I did this on my Elantra. Although for these, it's a slightly thicker brown wire.

I used 5mm 5000mcd yellow LEDs with 510 ohm resistors

So far just the front doors.

I did this mod before I even knew about this site. I put the led at the bottom tho. You need to cut away a very small chunk of the handle to make it fit there but the led hides even better that way. Also I wired mine to a switch, but Im going to re-wire it to the line you suggested (much cooler idea!). Also you get a much brighter glow if you paint the handle pocket while it is out. Mine are silver and glow red and it looks awesome. Good DIY!!!

a door handle LED is a good idea. Not only do people forget where to unlock, but they also forget to lock the door before they get out... so I'm always having to lean over to lock it for them. Ah well, no power locks, but maybe the friggin light will give them a clue smile.gif .

Witch wire do you cut to get the power for the led ?

is it the green/white one on my pic ?
