I was going to try to make the deck lift up for some storage, just been to busy though... That won't give you much at all though, just enough to put some tools and maybe cds in it.
You would be surprised. I followed this DYI, and it worked out amazing, especially with the 4-point harnesses that I put in, they run through the new deck and connect to the rear stock holes.
I've managed to fit a pair of work boots, as well as some other things like tools and stuff. Its also a great place to hide a power inverter, especially if you need to have easy access to it.

Finally found a picture to show the final out come of my conversion. With the box and 4-point harnesses, I'm really impressed how it turned out, especially because I made it by hand, and didn't pay someone.
