Ever wanna test your fuel pump? Can't hear it when you are turning over the car because there is too much noise?
Easiest way to do it, and it only takes a minute, is here.
What You Need.
1. 3.5 to 4 feet of wire, with stripped ends or alligator clips.
2. A 12 Volt Power source (Your battery perhaps?)
Follow your injector harness around the passenger side of the car. On the end of your intake manifold, right at the harness, you should find a plastic plug that looks like this...
Attached with electrical tape to the injector harness.
Pop the end of the plug off (don't break it, it might take you a minute to figure how it comes off).

Push your test wire into the connector or connect your alligator clips to the metal connector inside the plug.
Run the other end of your wire to the positive side of your 12V source. You should hear a nice humming sound from the middle of the car, behind the front seats. That's your fuel pump, and you have now tested it.
Pull the wire out and plug the hole back up. You are done.

no just make sure you put a lighter at the end of the pipe so that the water comming out of the pipe puts out the fire...

Am I mistaken? Doesn't the fuel pump run when the key is turned, just before "start"? I hear it hum if I delay pushing the key all the way to start. Then it starts (very) slightly faster.
But then you don't get your hands dirty listening for it before startup nana.gif

It should. I know I can't hear it on my car.
This test is more for folks trying to trouble shoot, you will know 100% if it's running or not with this.

Listening (inside or outside the car) does at least tell you it's trying, and the relay & wiring is good. Folks with old ears or heavily insulated cars will have to have the door open or do it your way. If you really want to make a mess...er, I mean, get a definitive test, the fuel rail is only held in the manifold w/ 2 bolts... lmao.gif

That's the OEM MFR way dude, and you do it from the engine bay, and no, you HEAR it from outside.
Great, you don't want to do it this way, who cares, leave it at that.
My issue ended out being the CKP, and and my perfect hearing couldn't hear the fuel pump when I was trying to turn the car over, even with the rear seat up. Doing it THIS way you hear it whirr really loud, without any cranking to cover up the sound.

Haha, sorry. Doing it THIS way. Funny thing is, today I heard it once and didn't hear it once. Does it stop pumping when it gets up to pressure? If so, then this is THE way. lmao.gif owned.gif hail.gif
