I need to get some of these. One of mine is dead and the other seems dim (stock bulbs).

I'm going to ask a couple noob questions, just because I can. The stock bulb on a 2001 Tiburon is DE3175, according to Sylvania. Will these bulbs fit without modification?

I'd probably just get the 6-LED version, mainly for price, but also because the 12 just seems like it would be SO bright, it would hinder turning it on in night driving. Thoughts on that?

I have 6-SMD boards from DD. They're very bright, very white, I love 'em. I turn on the passenger light only if I'm in the car at night and driving - this keeps it from being directly in my eyes but still lights up the entire cabin nicely.

When my door lights come on, people who aren't even car enthusiasts comment on how nice and bright the interior lights look.

This is for my Genesis. The SMD board connectors plugged right into the factory position. From what I recall on RD Tibs, there are two prongs holding the bulb in? I can't even remember what my GC look like, but Paul owns a Tib so if he says they fit, I trust him.

Yeah, these are the ~1 inch long bulb, with a metal cone on each end (I believe it's coined "festoon"?) that fits in the light housing.

I like what you said about the color and brightness, so I'll get some as soon as I get confirmation that they fit without too much hassle. (this coming from the guy who tore apart his dash and wired the whole thing up with LEDs... LOL)

I got this:

But for a Tib, it looks like this would be the best fit:

He has 31, 36, and 39mm bulbs: http://www.diodedynamics.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=51

What size is the Tib? I remember it being super small, 31 or 36 likely. I just remember I bought a bulb from autozone and it was too big, probably the 39mm.

If you want it for daily use, I'd get the 4 or 6 SMD board. If you want it for car shows to light up everything Red or Blue, go with 12SMD... it'll probably make everything change colors

paul - any word?

The DE3175 is a 31mm festoon bulb, so I would recommend the 31mm 2-5050 SMD bulb. For something a little brighter, the 6-SMD Board would be a good fit.

Thanks Majik!
