I'm getting a new set of wheels, painted face with polished lip. I want to protect them against the winter, brake dust, etc.
Any suggestions? Any products that you carry? Any products/ingredients I should NOT use?

Just soap and water washing, just treat them like you would your car, Dont take them through automatic washes!
Also watch the stuff you use to make them shine, so it doenst eat the clear coat of paint off the face!
ALso i WOULD keep your stockers as a winter tire set! That way they dont get beat up over winter!

I'm looking for something to keep the wheel finish from peeling, tarnishing, or looking anything that makes it not perfect. I'll be driving my car daily, and being in TN we get plenty of rain, snow, ice, and salt. I just want something that may protect the rim if I go two to four weeks without washing them. I only use water and elbow grease to clean my wheels.
Well, yeah, obviously, but I'd rather know if there's anything out there to be cautious of BEFORE it gets to that point. If I can tell it's eating the clear coat, it's a little too late, don't ya think? Such as NOT using any window cleaner with ammonia on your window tint.

Yea, that is why I only use soap and water, It is a good basic cleaner! I dont f*ck with chemicals cause i dont want to be the one to be telling people not to use a product cause it might eat my wheels. SO basically i havent used anything else on my wheels and they look the same as the day i put them on 3 years ago!
I cant tell you what to use beside soap and water!
Only other thing you can do is get the entire wheel clear coated which will help, but then you have to really care for the clear coat. I would suggest NOT running these wheels in the winter if you care of them. Summer is much easier on wheels, alot less salt and nasty road grim! Plus no sliding into curbs!
