I'll give you an idea..
I've been using Vista on my laptop at home for about 6 months, and I've been using W7 on this VM for about 2 hours..and I already like W7 better.
This is exactly what Vista should have been. All the cool gadgets and flashy crap, but it's not nearly as demanding as Vista is (But, I don't have Aero enabled on the virtual machine...that may lag it up a bit..) I can't wait to install this on a REAL machine to see what it can really do.
It's worth checking out.

Installed it last night. Seems to be quick and all. All the drives installed no problems at all. I will have to keep running it on a day to day basis and see what type of performance she puts out.

out of my 2 week experience the only pet peeve i have out of it so far is the control panel and how it is set up. everything else is more than perfect. but i also havnt tested everything yet. so, so far so good. cant wait for the next build or the the beta 2, or even the compliant if they're ready

I am downloading it now and plan to create one of those as well. I think it will be easier than Vista. What I find troubling with Vista is the 6T04 adapter that can't find the right driver software.
