Default Who likes huge old skool house speakers?

I scored a pair of Cerwin Vega S-2's the other day. These things are 15" woofer, HUGE speaker cabinets. Just ordered the refoam kit for them.... thumbup.gif

Yeah, but you have to get little tiny mids with no midbass to speak of. And they can't be huge. 999 of 1000 wives surveyed said they would scream until 5 large speaker cabinets were removed from the living room

I must be lucky then cause I can have any speaker I want in the room and she doesn't complain. banana.gif

I actually have about 4 or 5 pairs in here right now testing them out. I have some small ones but a few pairs of large ones as well.

I don't know if you ever re-coned speakers before but, if they send you spacers to put around the coil to keep the cone centered. I recommend using them, probably the most important thing is to keep the cone centered.

^^ yep. One of the quickest ways to ruin a speaker is to bend the coil because of too much play inside the gap between coil and magnet. The quickest is to punch it or use a gun.
