So whats everyone connected with? I've had Direct TV for close to 4 years now, and I think maybe like once a year....I lose signal for about 5 minutes, if that. Its so much cheaper than cable (my friend pays almost twice for what I get, and hes always losing signal) and I have way more HD channels than cable also. Dont think I'll ever get rid of satellite! laugh.gif banana.gif
Ive had comcast for the last 4+ years. HD service for the last 2. They have yet to update their back office. They are trying to push 3 channels worth of data over a 2 channel pipe and constantly get HD pixelation and audio drop out. Trying to get get them to admit it or even attempt to fix it well you would have more chance nailing jello to a tree.
Although the fios engineers could not understand why i wanted fios because the other side of the street has it but the telephone poles are on my side of the street, yet they said i didn't qualify for fios. Go figure.
Also for internet its cheaper to have bundle from comcast then stand alone.

I want FiOS soooooooo bad! Strictly for internet only. Right now, I'm using Time Warner Roadrunner and it suuuuccckkksss!!! FiOS is available in every freaking damn city in this state, except where I live. And this is one of the bigger cities (Rochester) around here. I'm wondering if they're being blocked by Frontier (the local phone company) from coming in to drop fiber in the city. It doesnt make sense that every other city has it, but we dont and theres no time frame of when or if we will get it. LAME!

Samsung HD receiver and rabbit ears. I get the networks in 16:9 HD for free. I don't pay to watch ads. I'll watch TV with ads if it's free. If I have to pay, I don't want any ads.

I have Comcast, and I'm a very unhappy customer, especially with their internet and phone. My internet cuts out constantly, and if you're on a call at that time it drops you.
[Edit] Ironically my internet went down trying to submit this post. Ugh.

I have comcast. I have no problem with it except for the price and the horrible "On Demand"
Never lose a signal. The place I get my hair cut has one of the satellites (dish network / direct tv ?). I've seen them lose a signal 3 different times. It gets windy near my house, and when the storms roll in, I need my TV!
I pay $130/mo. for internet ($40-45?), cable TV ($50), HD Channels (~$13), On Demand, and DVR (~$10), Sports Package ($5), plus our wonderful 9.75% tax rate. My internet is very reliable and plenty fast for me. I average 12-16 MB/sec on SpeedTest.
AT&T recently came to Nashville. I'm waiting for uVerse to come to my part of town.

Actually, you're getting 12-16 Mb/s, not MB/s. I was making this error until recently when someone corrected me. I get 19 Mb/s with Cox on Speedtest for $55/mo. I regularly DL at 1300 kb/s, which is smoking fast for a coax cable.
