Suggestions on a gigbit router/modem
Need to get rid of my cable modem for something better and I'm thinking about a gigabit router and modem in one. What do you guys have and do you like it? Suggestions on something I dont need to constantly reset if possible.

Nope. Now you have two things that can break in one box. If the modem fails, you're throwing away a perfectly good router and vice versa. Just get yourself a good Motorola Docsis 3.0 modem and call it good. I've got:

This is a newer one that wasn't out yet when I got mine:

Keep the devices separate. There is no integrated device that will work anywhere near as well as 2 independent devices designed for specific functions.
How many devices do you have that support gigabit? Is this for a wired home or just short distances? What price range? Will you be using cat5e or cat6 cabling?
My rig is batshit but:
I am using a Procurve at the top of my server rack for my render farm. I got it super cheap from a local breaker because it had a broken front bezel but if you know how to repair anything PC-wise it's fairly strait forward. For the cost the best stuff at Fry's I have a manged switch with 4 10GBe copper uplinks I'm using to connect my file server to my editing rigs in the office. Overkill for a home office maybe, but I never got full 1GB speeds out of my old Linksys router and it refused played nice with my servers.
