Verizon suffers nationwide data outage, has no ETA on fix
Verizon's typically reliable network has taken some sort of unidentified hit overnight, which has resulted in a service outage across the United States. Customers of the big red carrier are reporting a lack of 3G and 4G network connectivity from pretty much everywhere: California, Rhode Island, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York have all apparently been affected.
We've spoken to a Verizon support representative who confirmed the outage but was not authorized to discuss the extent of the issues with the press.

I only knew because I check my email when I get up, check the forum(s), then do a weather check to see if I may end up going in to work...
Phone is only source of net access, but I can live without it. If I loose voice service, then I'm ticked...
Knew the times because the last email I got was ~ 3:00 am, and the "you have email" light was blinking at 6:00
