My laptop is around 3-3 and a half years old. I noticed a few months ago that the fan would kick on more than usual and I wasnt too sure why. Today I bought some canned air, stuck in the vents where the fan shoots out warm air, and let it rip. The fan doesnt kick on as much now, the laptop runs a little cooler, and seems to operate faster too. Here I thought the laptop was about to die or something. All it needed was a $5 can of air to blow out some dust and crap inside of it.

I use shop air to blow out my computer at work maybe 1x/year. It is ALWAYS a cloud of dust.
