actually..... I don't. If they were able to do this without SOPA / PIPA, what's the purpose in getting SOPA/PIPA passed?
Let me paint you a picture of what it will be like if they get passed.
At first they'll hire 100 employees to search and issue fines. That will be funded by taxes (Internet Tax). That will grow to 1000 employees, and in a decade between 20-30,000 employees nationwide. The Internet Tax will increase 4-5X. At this stage, it has become a mature amoeba virus with tentacles. Once that happens, the amoeba will eventually grow large enough and become it's own entity, devouring everything and anyone that stands in its path.
It will sound like this: "Me hungry, need more fines, fines, penalties, taxes, taxes, more fines now, penalties, taxes eat BRAAAAHHHHHRRRRGGGH!!"

Heres the thing about Megaupload that I dont get...
Say I own a public parking garage. Now say someone steals a car and parks it in my garage without me knowing it. Does that mean I would be arrested because the stolen car is in my garage along with thousands of other cars?
