For that matter though, Alienware is fairly overpriced. There is a lot of rice on those gaming computers that is simply not needed.

Wow, I could build a lot nicer of a computer than that for $3500!! Just put together a decent gaming system on Newegg (didn't buy it, just price checking) for all of about $600. $2000 could buy about the equivalent. No idea how you can sell something for almost 10 grand though. Eeeesh.

Our IT dept. told me that the same specs on a Mac laptop run about 1.5x more than a PC laptop with the same hardware specs.. $1,500 vs. $2,300 and there's no noticeable difference when using either after 2 years in the same job role, VM and dual boot included.
