Default Non Shielded Speakers + Plasma or LCD

Total Noob that knows jack sh*t about home audio looking for easy question answered

floor speakers (not shielded)

+ plasma TV

or

LCD computer monitor

I know with CRT speakers + TV equaled f*cking up the picture on the edges etc especially......

is that still the case with flat panel tv's? i'm guessing it's not an issue now with flat panel but i don't know enough to feel comfy making that assumption so i figured i'd ask those that would know

I don't have an absolute answer to the question. BUT. I have a 50" plasma with four foot tall floor speakers on each side of it and a rather large center channel speaker above it. I've never have a prob with the picture. My old 42" LCD was between the same speakers for 3 or 4 years before the TV crapped out. Hope that helps.

The technology is different.

CRT = pile of tissue paper

LCD/Plasma = rock

Which takes damage from a bucket of water?

Bigass speaker magnet = bucket of water
