Cliff Notes of the 15 pages? Working or not?

They've shown Netflix to work on Android before, but then it got shut down by NF. Apparently, because of the various android devices and OS versions across carriers, they haven't been able to fully secure the DRM to prevent people from DLing (and ultimately redistributing) the content. That's the 'reason' it isn't in the market yet.

It works on 2.3, not on 2.1 or 2.2.

Netflix has been the most requested feature from users of my ROM, Andromeda3. Once the Giorgio Armani source drops for 2.3, my users will get it officially in Andromeda4. Currently we are waiting on Samsung to officially support 2.3 so that we can officially support 2.3 and NetFlix.

XDA member DesignGears is working on a netflix port to 2.2. This would be a hacked version of the NetFlix app and it would not receive any updates from the market.

XDA highlighted this thread today http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1076150

It now works on most devices, even unauthorized ones. More to come.
