Brilliant argument and justification. You pay for your bread, but refuse to eat it and thieve bread out of the store windows because it meets a certain level of self-induced quality control.

And the age argument it total bullshit. You use it to justify just about everything you ague here and each time it's as irrelevant as the previous. Many people here are of a similar age group and have the same experiences. What makes you so damn cool and important? Self value is one thing, but arrogance is another. I was a very early adopter of DVD technology, as in some of the media in my collection pre-dates region coding. I also have a vast collection of LDs, VHS and Beta Max (digi beta too, but that a different story.) In no way does the obsoleting of my media entitle me to walk into a store and take, without paying, BD media of a film I already own. As stated previously, there are enough legal alternatives available you just opt not to utilize them and stick to this "thief with a heart of gold" routine to justify said actions. You should show some shame and humility in the act. The fact that you show no remorse for theft just embodies the character flaws this country is stereotyped with globally. Want to impress people with your technological prowess? Invest in 4k media and receivers, support the industry. Alternatively you could just concede to being a moral leach without attempting to justify what you're doing. That however requires a spine.
