These guys are insane! But I bet this will drastically cut back on piracy. I just put in an order for pro, only $40.

Everyone needs a chance to show what they can do. That chance is more often limited by money; maybe that's you, maybe that's someone you know; a parent, a friend, some students of yours. We got a chance to prove what we could do starting out, and now we're giving one to you. It's the best deal we've ever offered, and a chance you'll probably never have again. Order now to reserve your copy; we will accept no crying if you miss out : )

The only requirements it gives are:
CPU: AMD or Intel (the faster the better)
Ram: 128MB (more is better)
OS: Windows Xp, Vista or 7
Brain: yours
Then goes on to list some OpenGl issues with stoneaged videocards and the older version.

Hell, if it wont run on that I'll be surprised. I use Blender on my work PC and it runs fairly well on an OLD socket 478 Celeron 2.8 (single core) and 1.5 GB DDR1
