And they were worried about cells phones next to your head for a few mins a day causing cancer. Now lets stick some radiating glasses even closer to your brain for hours on end. lol
I think it is a cool concept, very futuristic and has plenty of room to grow. Soon there will be like the terminator with facial recognition and shapes recognition and data bases.... But fixiation/fascination is a HUGE factor in these like that parody video showed. I see many issues comming up and these beeing banned while driving, or at least they should be. But since it seems our moronic society deems nything hands free safe, maybe not.... Becuase it isn't the fact that talking on a phone distracts you that makes it dangerous to drive, it is the position of the hand that you arn't even using being next to your head....THAT is what makes a phone dangerous. Bluetooth is soooo safe, it allows you to not use you hand again while being distracted and talking to someone.
Interested to see how these turn out though and if glasses become the new fad so you can view this stuff and if it will get wifi internet and how much they cost! I can't imagine the wieght or battery life is anything usefull at this stage in technology. Who knows about eye strain too. I would have to assume they at least did a little bit of research on the eye and eye strain and focus the image at 200+yds in front of you, where the eye is relaxed. Because if you have to focus your eye to look at it....you are going to have one HUGE headache and eye pain for a while. Or is this projecting it striaght into your eye? Anyone remember opti-grab from the Jerk? lol
But knowing how terrible voice recognition can be, with no way to type stuff or touch anything, I can see them being quite annoying and just a cool toy with potential rather than an actual usefull device. This would also be pretty sweet if they stuck IR camera's on thema nd projected that image and allowed you to see at night.

I want these. A lot.
I would prefer them to link through BT to my Android phone to offload the processing power and keep them lighter vs. being fully self contained. Then if I need a keyboard, I have one in my pocket that can do everything my phone can already do.
