Default Comcast is buying Time Warner

I have TW now for internet and cable and I'm always forced to reset the modem and prices keep going up. I'm hearing mixed reviews about Comcast. People either hate them or have no opinion. What's sad is people are saying prices will definitely go up and we'll probably lose a lot of channels.

Anyone here have Comcast?

comcast has decent internet service but their prices compared to competition suck dick! i currently have verizon dsl and only pay a flat monthly rate and is $30 bucks cheaper than comcrap!

like any telecommunications company, they try to get you on bundles, sugar coat the fact that you're only paying this said amount when it's only a promotional monthly rate..

Commicast ftl.

I get the bundles for 12 month and then cancel the extra services I don't use (phone). The problem is they're hoping to eventually get everyone that has cable/internet bundled, then they can charge for internet usage. Cable is losing a lot to Netflix, Hulu, and other subscription services that are much cheaper. ABC and others have shows available online, so why pay for cable? Once they start the movement, you'll be paying for it whether it's through Cable or Internet. Taxing the internet FTL. It's only going to get worse.....

Direct TV

I have Frontier DSL currently, which sucks but fiber is making its way near me this year. I would never use TW due to their crappy service and high prices.

Comcast costs way too much, but the service was always top notch for me. I switched to Centurylink.

Comcast is expensive. The OnDemand stuff is nice, but now they're increasing their prices and the service sucks. It's hard to rent a movie on a Friday or Saturday night, probably because they can't handle the traffic.. and if you do get a rented movie to start, NEVER pause it or it'll error once you try to play it again. I've gone through half or 3/4 of a movie before, paused it, and then had it mess up and not been able to finish.

Not a happy Commicast customer, had them for 7 years at my house and 13 at my parents.

Comcast and TW are the two lowest rated cable companies in the country. 'Nuff said.

But unfortunately, they're also the biggest cable companies too.
