Default Bought a new phone

So as some people know, I have been thinking about getting the new Galaxy S4. Well, I had the opportunity to pick up a brand new, unused Nexus 4 over the weekend for only $50 total. I'm on T-mobile (what the phone is) and my contract ended back in March. T-mobile doesnt do contracts anymore anyway, so its not a big deal. They now do this thing where you put down a down payment and then pay for the phone with small payments over a matter of 24 months. Luckily I didnt have to do that, since the Nexus 4 was a floor model behind a case where no one could mess with it. Hence why I got it for so cheap and no payments.

I'm going to hold onto this phone for a few months until I see whats coming out the end of the Summer. There's rumors that a new Nexus phone will be coming out, and even possibly a new Galaxy right after New Years. This phone is light years better than my Galaxy S 4G that I had, and its comparable to the S3 thats been out for awhile. I like that its a pure and true Android phone and can be customized pretty easily. No complaints yet, and for the price...it couldnt be beat.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I would have bought it for that price just to use as a gauge in my car.

N4 is a great choice. The quality is low though, compared to the previous Samsung build of the Galaxy Nexus.

However.. I'd say you got ripped off. How much are you spending for this phone? It costs $350 in the play store. You saved $300. If you bought it outright and killed your TMobile service in favor of an unlimited Straight talk or Net10 plan, you could have bought 2-3 N4s with the money you save over the next 2 years of contract.

I have a GS4. I don't like it. Sadly, as a fan of Samsung, I have observed the build qquality declining. The software quality took a dump on this version as well (optical reader, inverted camera, and software errors). But to really top it off ATT and Verizon are both locked down... No thank you. There's no getting around Qualcomm security.. If you locate a software OR hardware error, they can patch it with software.

You made a good choice with the device, but ditch the carrier man. You can get unlimited data, talk and text for cheaper than what you are paying now and use that money to upgrade more often to the latest device. These carriers tend to forget that they are simply a utility provider, use your purchases to remind them.
