Apple Users
OS X Lion comes out tomorrow. Will you wait to see the reviews and youtube videos on user experiences, or was the keynote good enough for you to rush to the store to buy it!
http://www.apple.com/macosx/
personally, i can do almost everything feature wise already... seems like they just changed the way you can do it now.
for example:
new way versus old way
new: Mission Control, old: command key + tab
new: Launch Pad, old: open Finder, view all my apps.
new: Resume, old: i never had to resume anything once i closed it... thats why i closed it.
looks like they made it feel like my iPad. the new Mail looks just like my iPad Mail.
i do like the auto save feature, and the documents save feature which acts like the Time Capsule does and saves your work automatically, then allows you to "go back in time" and pick a version that you had before.
As for the multi touch gestures... i just mastered the touchpad on my new 2011 Macbook Pro, you mean i gotta relearn 3 and 4 finger swipes...
I guess I will go get it eventually, but surely after i see some reviews on the old youtube.

10.4 here too. Hope to be upgrading next week, no to lion though. I think some of the newer stuff is cool but it just doesn't look like I would use it much.
I'm so far behind on the OS's that I'll prob have to wait until I get a newer one to get lion on it and by then they will have had 3 other new animals released. lol.

Hey, will one of you OS X 10.4 users with a Samsung Device please test my application? http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1153310 OS X Leopard is the only one I have left to test. Lion, and Snow Leopard were tested weeks ago.
If you don' t have a Samsung Device, it should at least give an error when you click the UnSoft brick button.

reviews are coming out!
disclaimer: i have no affiliation to any of these reviewers, they are simply at the top of the list in a youtube search.

this one here is a good tutorial on how to put the OS on a USB thumb drive and then install it... if you should want to do that.

^ None of your links work.

Yeah it seems to be a good upgrade, I have been looking into it for a while but just didn't have the chance or the $$ until now.
I have a mac mini and it's being sent out for ram and to get the cd drive replaced (the gf's boss is paying cause she uses it for work all the time). Once that gets done I will be upgrading all the software.
I will just have to make due on my Imac until then goodbye flash media LOL.
