You're drinking the wrong vodka. I used to be of the same mind, so did Tibbytib.
GO get you some Ketel One, or even better, and I'm not kidding here, Costco Kirkland brand Vodka, and mix with Gingerale.
I usually do about 2 parts of ginger ale to one part vodka.
Those 2 are excellent vodkas. The Costco one is made in a factory right next door to Grey Goose in France.
Oh, and if you haven't tried Costco's tequilla yet, you are missing out on life.
Lots of folks talking about both of these on the internet.
