Obviously the bread doesn't go in the middle, but do you care if the ingredients are randomly ordered? I couldn't put lettuce in between the cheese and the ham.

Depends on the sandwich obviously, but here's my take. This works for any normal meat sandwich, burger, etc. Anything with some sort of meat in it. Work from the bottom up.

TOP

Bread (bun)

Ketchup or other similar condiment

Any remaining topping

Lettuce

Tomato

Pickle

Onion

Cheese

Meat

Mayo, Ranch, or other similar condiment

Bread (bun)

BOTTOM

What in the world made you ask this question??? LOL

When making a turkey sandwich, I spread mustard on the bread and then add salt/pepper to my liking. It sticks to the mustard and won't make a mess, and stays evenly distributed.
