Once in awhile it's ok, but only if you add some good rum with it.

Yup, already purchased and already enjoyed it with some dark spiced rum.

Popular Mechanics claims George Washington drank eggnogg like this - somebody make it and report back how it tastes

7 eggs, separated

1.3 cups, bourbon

2 cups milk

7 heaping tbsp sugar

1 pint heavy cream

nutmeg, grated, to float on top of each cup

whisk egg yolks till they are lemon colored

gradually add bourbon to the yolks, beating vigorously, until it's thick enough to coat the back of a spoon

whisk milk in slower, until it resembles loose custard

in a separate bowl, beat the egg whites till stiff, add sugar, continue beating. Add to the yolk mixture, folding in gradually

in another bowl, beat cream till stiff. Add to mixture, folding in gradually

Refrigerate until serving time. The next day it will have a little foamy top that you can stir back in

We found a vanilla and cinnamon spiced flavor. Pretty damned good with rum.
